Essential

The essential
Here I have gathered what is essential to what I wish to pass on. You can see here that it has to do with seeing the Ego for what it truly is, and recognizing that it is not a false self or your enemy, but that it represents a worldview which, even today, is important for you and your development. You should also see that I work according to a model that describes development as consisting of two parallel evolutions: the evolution of consciousness and superconsciousness. I also want to describe here that just as there are physical life forces, there are also non-physical life forces and life laws, and that you are subject to these forces – down to the attitudes you believed were entirely your own.
Right now, your life is about making space for a new worldview, the 'unity-oriented worldview' (or 'Heart consciousness'). An important part of this process is learning to observe your Ego – which represents the other worldview that exists within you, the Ego worldview (or as I call it, the Ego life experience). This is, right here and now, your greatest challenge.

Your opinions and attitudes are not just 'your own'!
What I want to pass on to you is that there are laws and forces behind your life, and behind what you call your attitudes, opinions, and values. These things do not come solely from you, but are greatly influenced by underlying 'evolutionary forces'.
Your experience of life, for example, is subject to major themes that you did not invent yourself. The ability to experience within you was also not created by you. Nor did it arise by chance. Your longing for experience ('Life-self') also did not arise randomly. There are things – from your personality structure to your personal values (which you undoubtedly believe are your own) – that have actually arisen from something that was given in advance.

Going with the flow of life – or setting a direction for your life yourself
I want to describe these underlying forces so that you can learn to recognize them and begin, to a greater extent, to form 'your own stance' toward life. There are many who simply follow this stream of life, guided by life forces, and thus live more or less 'unconsciously'. That is not to say they get nothing out of life! There is certainly both experience and development associated with such a life, but believe me – life becomes so much more intense and meaningful when you open your eyes and take greater control of it yourself.

The stream is for those who do not manage
to set a direction for their lives,
and less for those who do.

The life forces behind your life – and the double evolution
Do not take your experience and opinions for granted. C. G. Jung observed, for example, that archetypes largely form a foundation for our approach to life, and thus fundamentally for our attitudes and life experience. These archetypes are beyond your reach and are not something you directly control – and are therefore an example of how you and your opinions are 'governed by' something underlying. But there is much more to this story. Overall, I call these underlying forces the Life Forces, and the archetypes are just a small part of them. These forces manifest in the evolution of both your consciousness and your superconsciousness, but these parts of you have their own evolutionary paths, where one can say that the superconsciousness is further ahead than the consciousness. You can read about this double evolution below. In practice, it means that your consciousness is aware that a higher life experience exists – because you already contain it. In fact, your deepest longing for life comes from your superconsciousness – and gaining more contact with it will always be a beautiful, life-affirming, and developmental experience.

Question your life experience, your values, and your beliefs!
You are immediately a product of your current life experience, your thoughts, feelings, joys, and pain. From this arises what you perceive as being you. Who you are. But none of these things are eternal. Your pain, for example, is only in you as long as you believe in it, and as long as the foundation it is built on exists within you. However, it is not easy to stop believing in it. It is about getting all the way behind it, and observing what in you is experiencing the pain, and this requires practice – and that is exactly what you need to do. Practice!
Start by not simply accepting your life experience, your reactions, and your pain. Question them. Explore them. Then it will slowly dawn on you that there is so much more to life and to yourself than what you are currently experiencing. You will discover that a higher and different experience is entirely accessible to you. I call it the 'Heart life experience' or the 'unity-oriented life experience'. On this page, you can read articles about becoming the 'Observer' and about the new 'unity-oriented' experience of life.
