Alphabetical glossary

Anchoring phase. One of the phases in the process leading to a change of consciousness is called the anchoring phase. After the ‘new-consciousness’ event, the anchoring phase follows. In this phase life sends us tasks ('anchoring tasks') to anchor a new-consciousness in us. This anchoring phase therefore precedes the actual change of our consciousness.
Anti-compensation method. A method to become painless, that you use in the Ego state 'Anti-compensation'.
Catalyst energy. An energy that appears at the beginning of a new development period, and that leads to an initiation and the start of the new development period. At the beginning of the Ego period, the 2 catalyst energies constitute the conscious Ego energies and the superconscious Heart energies. Together, these energies will initiate the initiation.
Change of consciousness. The change of consciousness is a process that involves several phases. First there is the ‘new-consciousness’ event, then the anchoring phase, and then the permanent change of your consciousness.
Complex. There are 3 types of complexes. Pre-complexes are created in the Pre-Ego period and are precursors to the Ego complexes. In addition, there is the mother complex (EL).
Complex bonds. Connections between complexes in a human being, or between complexes in different people.
Compensation method. The method that we use to become pain free in the Ego state that I call the "Compensation" state.
Compensation state. The highest Ego state.
Complex Island. A collection of complexes connected in a larger structure, bound together by the same emotional tone.
Consciousness. Consciousness is a Life force that we find in all development periods. In the Root and Pre-Ego periods, the focus is on a kind of physical 'consciousness'. Then there is the Ego consciousness, which is the ability to distinguish yourself from the world. The next consciousness is the Heart consciousness. This presupposes a high self-awareness, which in the Heart period will develop into the awareness of your connection with humanity. In general, we can say that consciousness is when you distinguish yourself from the Life field that is associated to the development period in which you find yourself.
Conscious energies. The energies that are part of conscious evolution.
Conscious evolution. One of the 2 evolutions. It consists of 7 development periods, which have to do with our conscious interaction with life, ranging from the primitive sensation of pleasure/discomfort to higher forms of consciousness. Conscious evolution is always half a period of development ‘behind’ the superconscious evolution.
Core complex. The complex that gives rise to a complex island. If it is released, then the whole island dissolves and is released.
Cosmic field. The dimension of life that the collective superconscious has direct access to.
Cosmic spark. The source itself is present in our being, in the form of the cosmic spark of the collective superconscious.
Create. Give life or existence, cause something to occur, produce something new, provide or establish something, that currently does not exist.
Current energies, the 4. The 4 energies that are dominant in your life, originating from both the conscious and superconscious evolution.
Development periods. Our evolutionary cycle is divided into 7 major development periods. Right now, the Ego period is the dominant one.
Development structure. The structure that allows you to experience life and yourself, and which determines what energies are available to you. The Ego development structure consists of a superconscious, conscious, and subconscious part, and provides access to 3 development states called the Vacuum, Anti-compensation, and Compensation states.
Divine energy. The energy associated with the Divine development periods.
Ego-energy. The energy associated with the Ego development period. In my figures, the Ego energy has a yellow color.
Ego-meaning in life. The Ego (Ego-consciousness/identity) has its own meaning of life, which is to obtain affirmation, to be seen, to believe that it is alive, and to have confidence that it can sustain itself. The Heart has a different meaning of life, as do even higher states of consciousness.
Energies, the 6. Each of the major development periods are associated with a total of 6 basic energies. We are not affected by all at once since it changes throughout the development period. However, we are always under the influence of 4 energies at the same time, a waning and an increasing conscious energy, as well as a waning and an increasing superconscious energy.
Energy signature. A person's energy signature tells you about the type of energy that the person can receive in a conscious or superconscious way. In the Ego period, this energy signature is determined by the state you are in. Each of the states are linked to a specific set of conscious and superconscious energies.
Emotions. The Ego Life experience manifests itself in what we call 'emotions'. Emotions are the language that the Ego speaks and understands.
Energy theme. All human beings have the same energy background. However, the development structure of an individual determines which energies, that individual has ‘permission' to experience.
Evolution. 'Evolution', as I use it, indicates development and that we move from one place to another, and that there is a purpose behind this. The word evolution also indicates that our development takes place according to laws (physical laws, psychic laws, etc.) rather than being based on chaos and chance.
Evolution cycle. The cycle we are in now consists of a conscious and a superconscious evolution, each consisting of 7 major development periods.
Existential loneliness (EL). The innermost feeling of loneliness. EL comes in several forms depending on the development period. Ego-EL in the subconscious is the reaction to a lack of individuality, and it helps lay the foundation for the development of the Ego.
Heart energy. The energy that characterizes the Heart and its Life experience.
Heart meaning of life. The 'Heart' meaning is to be aware of oneself and the world, and to be one with the world. It is to experience the unity with humanity.
Heart pain. At the beginning of the Heart period, you will experience what I call a "Heart pain". This is best described as a kind of pain for not contributing to the world (or humanity), and for not experiencing the conscious unity with humanity.
Heart pain bonds. Bonds between people in the Heart period. These bonds arise from the individual's inability to live in accordance with the laws of life, defined by the superconscious and Life themes. They correspond to the complex bonds of the Ego period.
Identity-center. Something in you that is able to relate to all the secondary Life experiences in you (e.g., repressed sides of you).
Initiation. An initiation is a special event in our development, a kind of quantum leap whereby a new consciousness becomes a part of your being. It is a unique experience that brings about an irreversible change in our consciousness. This event has a profound effect on who we are and how we experience the world. It is as if we learn to experience the world in a new way and gain a new insight into life! Like the consciousness, the superconscious can also experience an initiation. There are a total of 9 conscious and 9 superconscious initiations in our development cycle.
Instinct. During the Root and Pre-Ego period, our will to live is tied to instincts. These are innate qualities and urges that ensure what is fundamentally necessary to sustain life, including the physical dimension, at a time when consciousness is still at a very low level.
Law of individuality. The law and the Life theme that motivate you to become an individualized self-conscious being in harmony with your Ego.
Law of unity. The law of unity is the 'law of the Heart', a law that is relevant to the Heart Life experience. It is a law that was activated by superconscious Heart energies, and a law that has to do with experiencing a unity with humanity.
Life experience. Our ability to experience life. There are 7 different Life experiences, which consist of 3-7 layers. They are all manifestations of the Source, in a language appropriate to our level of development.
Life field. A Life field contains Life experiences from all beings that have an affinity for the Life field. One function of a Life field is to create contact between the Life experiences (and the beings behind them). A Life field is a dimension, and is for example the physical field, the pre-psychic, psychic field, etc., right up to the cosmic Life field. A Life field also allows Life experiences to manifest themselves.
Life law. The Life themes constitute Life laws that function as a guide necessary for our development. Different Life laws are active in different development periods. For instance, certain laws are active during the Ego period, while others are active during the Heart period. Breaking these laws usually has painful consequences unless you manage to rise above them.
Life pleasure. Throughout all development periods, our goal is to use the associated Life field to live out the will to live and achieve Life pleasure. The pleasure of life constitutes a life-principle that applies to all development periods. During the Root period, Life pleasure can be associated with the body’s warmth and nourishment. In the Ego period, the most important thing is to be affirmed by the world, while in the Heart period, Life pleasure is associated with the joy of being a contributing part to the community.
Life-self. The Life-self comes directly from the source behind our entire existence. The Life-self constitutes a kind of primordial desire for experience.
Life theme. Our development is controlled by the major Life themes. The Life themes themselves are created by our superconscious. Their function is to structure the superconscious energies into major themes that function as the laws that we all aim to live according to.
Life theme energy. When a superconscious energy is channeled through a Life theme, the energy is called a Life theme energy.
Life vessels. Life fields, our life cycle (with its 2 cycles of evolution), the Life themes, and the personal development structures are all ‘Life vessels’ aimed at structuring and organizing life energy.
Main periods, the 3. We are all affected by 3 main periods at the same time, as well as 4 energies. The main periods are the 'central period', the period that we are about to leave (the 'lower period'), and the period that we are developing towards (the 'higher period').
Manifestation. Expression, revelation, to be expressed. One of the basic elements of all development is our ability to manifest ourselves in the different dimensions of life.
Mother complex. The existential feeling of loneliness (and meaninglessness) is the great mother complex, out of which all other complexes are born.
Multi-Island. Complex-islands can also be connected via their emotional tones in a larger structure called a multi-island.
Network bonds. The network bonds that hold us together can be of 2 types: 1. those that run between people within the same development structure (e.g., Ego to Ego), 2. those that run across development structures (e.g., Heart to Ego).
Physical field. The dimension of life that has to do with the physical dimension. It is the dimension with which our physical body interacts.
Pre-complex. Precursors to the complexes. Whereas the complexes are created in the Ego period, the pre-complexes are created in the Pre-Ego period.
Pre-Ego energy. The energy associated with the Pre-Ego development period.
Pre-Ego vessel structure. The psychic structure, which lays the foundation for the development of Ego-consciousness and subconscious. This ‘vessel structure' is created in the Pre-Ego development period and lays the foundation for the Ego period.
Primary and secondary complex. EL is also called the primary complex, which gives rise to other (secondary) complexes.
Primary energy. The energy that is characteristic of a development period.
Psychic field. The dimension of life that the Ego has contact with and where we find feelings and thoughts.
Resonance activation. A resonance activation of an energy contained in your current consciousness. The activation is caused by energies from the superconscious evolution reaching energies of the same type in the consciousness. They will cause a temporary increase in your level of consciousness, which can manifest itself in a "new-consciousness".
Root energy. The energy that represents the Root development period.
Sensory organ. An ability to sense an energy. In the superconscious, you have several sensory organs that sense energy from the collective superconscious.
Source. The origin of life. The Source is the origin of our development cycle. All the development periods are different forms of expression of the Source. Likewise, the different Life experiences can be considered as different sensory organs, intended to sense a particular part of the Source.
Space of consciousness. The space that sets the upper and lower limits for your current consciousness. The current consciousness can move forward and backwards, while the space of consciousness can only move forward.
Split consciousness. When we 'violate' the laws of life, the awareness of this is split off and repressed. As repressed consciousnesses they can form the core of a complex.
Superconsciousness, collective. The collective part of the superconscious, which is the same for all people, and which houses the cosmic spark.
Superconscious energies. Energies, or life impulses, that come from your superconscious, are too 'high' to become a permanent part of your consciousness. However, they control the direction of your development.
Superconscious evolution. The superconscious evolution is one of 2 evolutions. It consists of 7 development periods and with its superconscious energies it interacts directly with humanity's superconscious, influencing humanity's deepest life motivation, the deepest aspiration in life, and it sets the direction for humanity's development.
Superconsciousness, personal. The personal part of the superconscious, which, like your consciousness and subconsciousness, is constantly evolving. The structures of the personal superconscious reflect your own development.
The principle of unconsciousness/consciousness. This describes the process where you learn to distinguish yourself from a Life field, and where you learn to use the field to live out your will-to-live to achieve happiness (Life pleasure). This principle applies to all periods. The 'unconscious/conscious' principle deals with developing the Life experience, that is linked to the corresponding development. In contrast, the ‘quantum leap’ principle is about becoming aware of the very consciousness within you that manages to contain this Life experience. For example, the 'unconscious/conscious' principle is right now concerned with developing the Ego consciousness, while the ‘quantum leap principle’ is about recognizing Ego consciousness as a Life experiencing structure within you.
The quantum leap principle. In the transition from one period to another, we experience a quantum leap in consciousness. Where the 'unconscious/conscious' principle is about developing the Life experience that is linked to the development period that you are in, the quantum leap principle leads to a new-consciousness, and with this new-consciousness one manages also to recognize one's previous consciousness for the first time. This will allow you to expand your view of life beyond your previous life view. Only because of the quantum leap are you able to achieve this new-consciousness, and in this way recognize and grow beyond your old Life experience.
Transformed Life-self. The Life-self is your desire after experience. It is a primordial desire, which is not itself able to interact with, or sense, the world. However, by transforming into "the transformed Life-self ", an incredible 'experience machine' is created, that has the capacity for experience. This 'machine' is tailored according to the development period, and the level of development of the individual. It is tailored to provide a Life experience that is based on the rules set by the active Life themes. Right now, the transformed Life-self includes both the superconsciousness, the consciousness and the subconsciousness, and from this an experience of yourself is born, as well as the associated identity.
Universal Life themes. After the great transformation of your being at the end of the Heart period, your development will continue in other dimensions, governed by other laws of life. These laws of life are enforced by what I call 'the Universal themes', which are laws of life intended to lead you to unity with the Source itself.
Vacuum state. The lowest Ego state.
Will. Will is a broad concept, but also something that is fundamental in our development. There is the Ego's will to develop, which is linked to affirmation and the belief that there is a meaning to your life. There is the Heart's will to live, which is the will to live out the experience of unity with the world (and humanity). All these wills originate from a will that originates from the Source itself and which manifests itself in several ways during our development. By living out the will we become more aware of the Source itself – or put it another way, we become able to contain a purer expression of the Source in our consciousness – and as we have seen, to become aware of something is to change it. Thus, the will of the Source is basically about a desire to change the Source itself.
