The Superconsciousness

Throughout the different development periods

the superconscious energies flow into our consciousness

to manifest an ever-higher expression

of the Source

1. Introduction

‘Between’ the superconscious and the conscious, we find the Life themes. Their role is to channel the superconscious energies into the themes that make up the ‘framework’ for our lives. This journey from the superconscious, via the Life themes, to our consciousness is part of an ‘energy cycle’ that does not end at the consciousness but rather proceeds all the way back to the starting point.

Let me describe this journey and then go into detail about the contact between the superconsciousness and the consciousness.

The cycle of energy starts at the top in figure 12, in the collective superconscious. Just as the collective subconscious is not affected by the personal psyche, there exists in the collective superconscious something that is not affected by our own personal development and the way we live our life. This is where the ‘cosmic spark’ in us lives. The major themes related to humanity’s development can be found here. The great will behind our existence, the very ‘Source’ itself, is located there.

From this place, the full spectrum of energies flows into our personal superconscious and is taken up to the extent that we can perceive it with our sensory organs. The sensory organs located in the personal superconscious reflect our level of development. This ensures that the consciousness is subjected to the energy that will best promote its development.

The energy that reaches your consciousness/subconsciousness initiates a desire for more and activates the Life themes that define how you will realize this ‘more’ (Figure 12).

The last part of the journey is that we evolve. This is achieved by living out our beliefs in the world. By doing so, you change, and also change the world.

From a changed world, the process will continue from the place where it all began.

Figure 12. The cycle of energy through the superconscious, subconscious and the conscious part of you.  From the 'cosmic spark' (the star in the middle), the first impulse of energy in the collective superconscious travels through the sensory organs to the personal superconsciousness. The sensory organs of the personal superconscious pass on the energy to consciousness. Thus, the development of the superconscious is adapted to the development of consciousness (shown by a dotted arrow from the consciousness (person) to the personal superconscious). From the personal superconscious, the energy flows through the Life themes of the collective subconsciousness and is clothed with a Life theme energy that now, after further subconscious clothing, will manifest itself in the consciousness, along with a deep desire to realize these new Life theme impulses. From the consciousness the energy flows (when you manage to live it) into the 'world' (the collective consciousness), and from there it flows towards the origin from where it came.

Let’s take a closer look at this ‘journey of energy’. When energy is sent ‘down’ towards the consciousness, it stimulates the creation of a corresponding personal development structure. The details of how this happens will be described in Part 2 of the book.

Your current development structure consists of your personal consciousness, subconscious, and superconscious. This structure is designed according to the Ego period.

Throughout our development, we experience life through several development structures at the same time. Currently, the Heart energy and the high Ego energies influence us the most. Therefore, you contain two different development structures, a Heart structure and an Ego structure, and the Ego development structure is the dominant one.

This can be challenging because it causes you to often experience a situation in two different ways - at the same time. Your challenge is to choose between them.

Later in our evolution, you will receive higher Heart energies from the superconscious, and even the first D-1 energies, which will stimulate the next development structure.

2. The development of sensory organs in the superconscious and conscious part of your being

One of the things that develops in your superconsciousness is your ability to receive energies and integrate them into your being. These energies come from the superconscious evolution (the collective superconscious).

Let’s look at where we are now in our development. Even though you currently possess sensory organs for Heart energy in your consciousness, their current state is underdeveloped, allowing them to absorb only the most basic levels of Heart energy.

The Heart energies of the superconscious range from some that are only slightly higher than the Heart energies in your consciousness to some that are half a period further ahead. As always, the superconscious energies awaken a desire in your consciousness to experience these energies.

In the superconscious, you also contain sensory organs that receive high Ego energies. These high Ego energies flow towards your consciousness and your subconscious.

There is a crucial change happening to you in the latter half of the Ego period: our conscious Heart sensory organs begin to form. You begin to experience what I call the ‘Heart Life Experience’. Moreover, the ‘Ego Life Experience’ will gradually decrease and eventually completely disappear. This is where you are now.

This sensing of the Heart, not only with your superconscious but also with your consciousness, can be quite an overwhelming experience that speeds up your progress towards Heart consciousness. It can also be a particularly challenging and confusing time of your life.

The Heart sensory organs in your consciousness

When you start to consciously sense Heart energies, it will initiate several important changes. As mentioned above, one is that your Heart consciousness can now sense heart energies, and another is that your Heart consciousness can be momentarily over-activated by even higher Heart energies. I call this over-activation for ‘resonance activation’, and the effect of this can be overwhelming. It is not a long-lasting experience, but when it happens, it can change your life. It’s like getting a glimpse of a new world, and from then on, the Ego’s worldview will seem increasingly inadequate.

3. Contact with the superconsciousness in the different development periods

I will now focus on the contact between the superconscious and the consciousness in the different development periods (and when I write 'consciousness', remember that I previously mentioned that 'consciousness' is a principle of development, and that the consciousness we know today is very different compared to previous development periods, or future development periods).

Your contact with the personal superconscious

is determined by your level of development.

In the Root period

the contact is mediated by instincts.

In the Ego period it is mediated

by the Life themes.

In the Heart period it is mediated

by 'higher' Life themes.

In the Divine Periods

by the Universal themes.

The contact with the superconscious changes throughout your development and is closely aligned with the development of your consciousness. It involves instincts, Life themes, and Universal themes. The instincts and Life themes help you become fully individualized, and at end of the Heart development period one with humanity.

The D-1 period activates the first ‘Universal themes’, initiating the development of the ‘Divine Being’. This leads you to become one with the very Source behind this cycle of evolution.

The instincts channel energies to you when you are at a stage of your development where you have not yet developed an Ego, and where it is most important to get acquainted with the physical dimension, as well as to survive in it.

The Life themes, on the other hand, channel energy to you when you reach a development stage where it is important that you develop your psyche. This is occurs in the Pre-Ego period, and even more so in the Ego period.

From the Pre-Ego to the Heart period, the Life themes stimulate the development of the primitive psyche to once emerge as the ‘higher psyche’.

The ‘higher psyche’ is the name for the development structure that describes individuals where the Ego is fully developed and where the Heart is about to take over (and where the personal subconscious is disappearing).

Contact in the Root period

During the Root period, the energies of the superconscious serve to activate and stimulate the instincts. These instincts ensure your survival in the physical dimension by controlling your interaction with it. The will behind this interaction comes from the superconscious. It can be said that the superconscious breathes life into the instincts, which then mediate your contact with the physical dimension. This enables you to respond to the dimension and react to physical stimuli in a way that ensures your continued existence in the dimension.

During this development, the first experience of the physical dimension is formed, and at the same time, your physical body develops to interact with the dimension in an increasingly complex way.

The instincts that mediate contact with the physical dimension are predominantly those that distinguish between danger and non-danger (this period’s version of ‘pleasure and discomfort’, a principle that is present in all periods).

Contact in the Ego period

During the Ego period, your development is focused on building your psyche and individuality. This development is guided by concrete rules that define your Ego and how it relates to the world. These rules are determined by the Life themes.

The Ego period is when you develop conscious contact with other humans, and it is a period of transformation regarding the development of social structures. During this period, the Ego development structure is created. The power behind this creation comes from the superconscious Ego/Heart energy, and it will become increasingly important for you to be conscious of this energy.

Without it, life lacks meaning for you. In fact, to the same degree that you experience that you cannot consciously connect with this energy, an inner existential loneliness (EL) (which Part 2 of the book will focus on) is born within you.

EL stands for everything that is profoundly at odds with your superconscious energies, and this imbalance constitutes a mighty force inside you that will help drive your development through the Ego period.

When EL first appears in the Ego period, it becomes isolated behind an ‘unbreakable’ barrier. This is how your subconscious is created, the part of you that will be instrumental for the development of your psyche and individuality.

The subconscious continues to develop behind the barrier, and the driving force is EL, the ‘king’ of your subconscious. EL will be intimately connected with all the structures that will eventually appear in this part of your being.

With the creation of the ‘new’ subconscious, and with the barrier in place, the first signs of consciousness are born.

During the Ego period, new superconscious energies are pouring down towards you, when other sensory organs become active. The new energies can activate other Life themes that support a more complex relationship with the world, as well as with the individuals in it.

Contact in the Heart period

During the Heart period, something important happens. For the first time, we achieve a more intense contact with the superconscious. This contact differs from the contact experienced in the Ego period because the superconscious energy no longer passes through the personal subconscious, as it is not there (in the last half of the Heart period). You have come one step closer to your superconscious.

You will also experience a more intense contact with the non-physical dimension (and beings in this dimension), and it is often experienced as a ‘spiritual’ contact of high intensity.

The active Life themes are of a different composition than those in the Ego period. Thus, there are other themes at play during this phase of your development, themes that are better at stimulating the higher part of your psyche. It is this part of you that is now under development.

The experience of 'your higher self'

Let me stay a bit at our own level of development. One thing that is relevant to humanity’s (and your own) future is the Heart development period. This begins a new way of experiencing our superconsciousness, directly and without influence from our subconscious.

The experience of conscious Heart energies, in combination with a more intense experience of the superconscious, can be a very powerful experience. It tells you that there is more to life than what your Ego has convinced you of. There is a higher purpose to your life, a purpose that the Ego does not know of (or that you do not know about when you are dominated by the Ego Life experience). When the Heart energy dominates your consciousness, then you know this to be a fact. You do not doubt it, and you never will.

The experience becomes especially powerful when the Heart energy in your consciousness is resonance activated. This higher Heart energy is often experienced as a separate consciousness, when it is in fact your own higher consciousness that resides in your own superconsciousness. Many describe this experience as an experience of the ‘higher self’.

Figure 13. The contact with the conscious and superconscious dimension

Contact with the superconscious (the left part of the figure showing the 7 development periods in the superconscious evolution – illustrated as rhombus forms) can be made through instincts (small gold diamonds), through Life themes (cylinder), or through contact the Universal themes (shown as 5-pointed star). The superconscious basically conveys the 'cosmic spark' in us, shown as the big star on the left. On the right is shown the conscious evolution, which is our conscious interaction with life (shown as the earth) that occurs primarily via the 'personal development structures’, which is seen inside the development periods as a spiral with the colour that symbolizes the development period. The development periods that have purple colour in them are those that do not have to take place on earth.

Contact in the Divine Periods

The Divine periods are distinct from all other periods in that during these periods, you no longer have to incarnate on earth, i.e., in the physical dimension.

To channel the superconscious energies of your personal superconscious, you generally rely on something that ‘translates’ the higher energy into something you can understand. In earlier periods, the contact was mediated by the instincts. Then the Life themes took over, such as in the Ego period where Life themes such as the persona theme, the anima theme, etc. translated the superconscious energies. In the Heart period, higher Life themes, such as the ‘unity theme’, become dominant and lead you to a state in which you manage to be one with humanity itself.

Once you have reached this far in your development, the role of Life themes is over, and they cease to be an active mediator of superconscious energies. At that time, a great transformation occurs in your being, after which your development continues in other dimensions guided by other laws of life. These laws of life are enforced by what I call ‘the Universal themes’, which will lead you to unity with The Source – and to a fusion of your consciousness and your superconsciousness.

Figure 14. From Cosmic Spark to conscious Experience

The figure shows the 7 development periods, with our current level of development indicated by a person. The personal superconscious (containing the green person) receives energies from the 'cosmic spark' of the collective superconscious through sensory organs. From the sensory organs, a set of energies (shown as coloured triangles where the size of the triangles corresponds to a person that is halfway through a period) flows further towards the consciousness, where they are received by instincts (gold-rhombuses), Life themes (cylinder) or universal themes (stars), depending on the level of development. The development structures are indicated by spirals, and to the far right is seen the conscious evolution with the yellow person indicating our own level of development.
